Abstract

Teachers have a very large contribution to the success of learning in schools. In addition, the teacher also plays a very important role in helping the development of students to achieve their life goals optimally. In the classroom the teacher carries out two main activities, namely teaching and learning activities and class management. Teaching activities are essentially the process of organizing and organizing the environment around students. Classroom management is a series of actions taken by the teacher in an effort to create positive, productive and innovative learning environment conditions so that the teaching and learning process can run according to its objectives. In other words, classroom management is an effort to empower class potential through a set of teacher skills to create a conducive, positive, and productive learning climate and control it if there is a disruption in learning to optimize the learning process so that satisfactory results can be obtained.

Abstract

Education is the quality of a school that requires professional education personnel. Education personnel play an active role in shaping the knowledge and skills of students. Because the education staff will produce higher quality graduates. One way to realize this professionalism requires one of the supports from the principal. The principal is very important in leading those who are directly related to the implementation of educational programs in schools. The approach used in the research at MI Ma'arif NU Karangsari is a qualitative approach, data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The purpose of this paper is to determine the leadership role of school principals in developing institutions and principals' strategies in developing educational institutions. The principal of the MI Ma'arif NU Karangsari school was able to improve the development of existing institutions at the school. This is evident from the curriculum, student affairs, facilities and infrastructure and student learning achievement that goes well and according to teacher performance standards.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to find out and discuss the development of contemporary Islamic educational institutions. This study uses the literature review method by gathering information from literary sources, such as books, articles, research reports, and other sources that are relevant to the topics discussed. Islamic educational institutions which at first took place in a simple manner with simple management as well. However, along with the times and the development of the world of education, Islamic educational institutions are also developing. The development of Islamic educational institutions is a necessity and must occur. The results of this study are that there are five periods in the development of Islamic educational institutions, namely: the coaching period, the golden period, the decline period, the stagnation period and the modern period. It is this modern period Islamic educational institution that has developed to date, which is called a contemporary Islamic educational institution. Contemporary Islamic educational institutions exist in the form of formal, non-formal and informal educational institutions. Contemporary Islamic educational institutions are managed with modern management, complete infrastructure, integrated curriculum, and can meet the expectations of society, especially formal contemporary Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of a quality learning process. This study aims to reveal the strategic management of learning at MI Ma'arif NU 1 Tunjungmuli. The approach used in this research is qualitative. The research subjects were determined by purposive sampling technique, which consisted of madrasa heads, teachers and students. Research data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. The research data were analyzed using interactive analysis techniques developed by Miles & Huberman, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This research shows three guests. First, learning strategic planning at MI Ma'arif NU 1 Tunjungmuli is carried out by formulating every existing program, the head of the madrasa always formulates and holds deliberations with the board of teachers and all existing stakeholders to equate the vision, mission and steps to achieve it. Second, the implementation of the learning strategy at MI Ma'arif NU 1 Tunjungmuli is carried out in stages and in an organized manner, always accompanied by a foundation, surveyed for its activities and intense mentoring, as well as an open leadership model. Third, strategic evaluation of learning at MI Ma'arif NU 1 Tunjungmuli is by: (a) directly observing student behavior in everyday life; (b) evaluations carried out both formally and informally; (c) see directly changes in student behavior after receiving coaching; (d) evaluation carried out in weekly, monthly, semi-annual, year-end and early-year evaluation activities.

Abstract

Efforts to develop Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in schools/madrasas can actually utilize the clinical supervision model. However, in general, school/madrasah principals are reluctant to carry out clinical supervision for various reasons, and subject teachers are not brave enough to propose it. This paper aims to get a brief overview of clinical supervision management in PAI learning. The research was conducted briefly at SMP Maarif 1 Kebumen. The method used is field research, with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation, and the results are in the form of qualitative descriptive narratives, and the principal is the key informant from which other informants are then developed through the snowball sampling model. The results of his research are that clinical supervision at SMP Maarif 1 Kebumen is managed using the POAC management model, namely (a)planning is carried out at the beginning of the semester which is prepared by the principal and held a meeting with the deputy heads, and then socialized to teachers through the beginning of the semester meeting, (b)organizing using the delegation model, (c)delegating of further clinical supervision from the school principal to the vice principal in the curriculum field assisted by a number of senior teachers, (d)actuating as implementation of clinical supervision is carried out starting from checking the quality of lesson plans in samples related to materials, learning resources, and learning methods, inviting teachers whose lesson plans need improvement, and carrying out clinical processes and improving the quality of lesson plans, (e)controlling is carried out through closed meetings between school principals and the deputy head of curriculum and a number of senior teachers. Furthermore, supervision of PAI learning itself is directly carried out by the school principal. Controls, evaluations and repairs are completed by discussion and friendly chat but it works. The Javanese cultural approach has a positive impact on the implementation of clinical supervision. The end of clinical supervision activities is imputing data of the supervision score into the system.

Abstract

On The Job Training is one of the best methods for providing high skills or skills to employees because this method is planned, organized and carried out in the workplace and employees are trained on how they carry out their job duties. This article aims to (1) provide an overview of the implementation of each item of activity which is the main task of prospective school/madrasah supervisors along with various supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of each item of school/madrasah supervision; and (2) Provide an overview of the condition of the assisted school/madrasah based on the results of an assessment conducted by prospective school/madrasah supervisors. Based on the results and discussion of the practice of On The Job Training (OJT) II, the following conclusions can be drawn: (1) The understanding of prospective Madrasah supervisors on supervision regulations is very important so that prospective supervisors are not mistaken in making policies related to the supervisory program; and (2) To carry out the supervision program, it is necessary to build good synergy between teachers, madrasah heads, supervisors, and related agencies so that the supervision program is maximally successful.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning achievement in Basic Competency: (1) explain and add and subtract two fractions with different denominators; and (2) solving problems related to addition and subtraction of two fractions with different denominators. The dependent variable (Y) in this class action research is the ability to operate arithmetic fractions. While the independent variable (X) is a contextual learning model. The form of this research is classroom action research with a cycle model, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely, planning, implementing action, observation and reflection, as a population (subjects given action) class VII D students of MTs N 8 Kebumen. Based on the results of the existing data analysis meeting, it can be seen that there has been an increase in results. In the initial conditions of student learning completeness 44%. With the use of the Contextual Learning Model, student mastery in cycle I became 72%. In cycle II, student learning mastery increased to 85%. From the entire cycle carried out, it can be concluded that the Contextual Learning Model can improve the ability to calculate fraction operations.

Abstract
